Needs Many More References

[edit]

As per my {{Multiple Issues}} tag, a large part (perhaps the majority) of this article appears to be unreferenced original research which reads like a personal essay on the topic. I do think it contains lots of interesting information, but it needs many more references in several sections to bring it up to Wikipedia standard. 95.145.86.26 (talk) 10:29, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing

[edit]

@Treat3034231 The statement that as a crown colony Hong Kong had a greater degree of freedom than mainland China is dubious at best and is contradicted by scholarly sources such as Political Censorship in British Hong Kong - Michael Ng, Cambridge University Press (2022) and Priscilla Roberts, John Carroll - Hong Kong in the Cold War, Hong Kong University Press (2016). There is scholarly consensus that colonial Hong Kong was economically free, which is why I reworded it to that. What you are doing here is persistently re-adding unsourced material and that is disruptive. Please refarain from such editing, wikipedia is not a battleground.
